The ‘Task & Milestone Manager’ is the core tool for managing tasks for your projects. Binfire employs the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) approach to project management, helping you organize your teams work into manageable sections. Create tasks, subtasks and milestones and delegate them to your project members. You can divide large tasks to subtasks. At any time you can edit the task or milestone. Use the ‘move’ tool to reorder your tasks, subtasks and milestones. All activity in the task and milestone is recorded. You can look at a task’s history to see who created the task, who made time estimates and who recorded task progress. You can also use dependencies to tie tasks together, so that the commencement of one task can depend on the completion of another. You can even attach files to tasks, helping make every task more interactive and thorough. The person responsible for the task can report progress using the progress bar in the tasks info. This data will be used to update the Gantt chart, which can be accessed by clicking the ‘Gantt Chart’ button at the top of the page.
