When you log into Binfire for the first time, most features are not active yet. There isn’t much information in the dashboard because there has not been any activity in your account yet. There are three main components to your account:
- Dashboard
- Files (Private)
- Your Projects
The dashboard gives you a bird’s eye view of all the activities in your projects. All activity by you or members of your projects is recorded here. All entries in this page are active; if you press on one of the links, it will take you to the source. You can also see the list of projects that you own or are a member of in the right column. You can also change your profile by pressing the “profile setting” link on the top of the page.
You can access and edit your profile settings from this page, which can be seen by your project members only. You can also change your password in this page.
The Private files tab directs you to your private folders & files. Notice that in addition to your private folders, each project has its own separate folders. Here you can upload files to your web folder, share them and more. The file manager has all the tools needed to manage files and folders. The real power of Binfire is its collaboration and project management tools. To use these tools, you need to create a project, add members to your project and start collaborating. The application creates a default project for you by using your first and last name. You can rename this project, delete it or create a new one.
