Task Management

Binfire uses WBS for task management as integral part of our online project software. This allows you to break down a project to tasks and those tasks to sub-tasks and so on. Each task could have one or more dependencies. You can attach one or more files to each task.

Gantt chart

To better visualize your project and make changes, Binfire offers the interactive Gantt chart. You can add or remove dependencies and change or move tasks. Interactive Gantt makes it easier to view and edit a project collaboratively.

Status report

Status reporting is very important in success of any project. Binfire uses secure status reports to let project members report at the end of every day what they have done, what they will do tomorrow and if they have any issues.

Import projects

If you have projects in Basecamp or MS project or any other project management program that lets you export your project to CSV you can import them to binfire

Private vs. project folders

To store your personal files online, upload them to the private folder. All project files should be uploaded to the project’s folder and are accessible to project members with proper permissions. Project folder is the optimum web collaboration tool for content.

File version

Binfire keeps all version of a file forever. You can access older versions of a file by clicking on file info control in the file browse.

File lock

In the project folder you can lock files. This is necessary when several people are working on a file simultaneously. While editing the file, lock it, so others know the file is being updated.

File tagging and search

You can tag files for easier search. The search bar at the top of the page lets you search for a specific file by name or by tag.

Starring

You can star any file or task to follow them. This way if they are changed you get notified. When a task is created, both the person the task is assigned to and the person who created the task are automatically starred for that task.

Tagging

You can tag files and tasks. This makes categorizing and searching for specific objects much easier.

Commenting

You can easily add comments to tasks and status reports. Commenting is a major part of any team collaboration software.
